Panama City, Republic of Panama — The Foundation for the Development of Controlled Environment Agriculture (FDCEA) announces the 2nd International Congress on Controlled Environment Agriculture (ICCEA 2017) to be held in Panama City, Republic of Panama at the Hotel El Panama Convention Center May 17, 18 and 19, 2017.

This educational gathering brings together growers, agriculture-related companies and educational institutions from around the world. The focus of the ICCEA 2017 will be on learning and applying the foundations of controlled environment agriculture (CEA) from renowned experts in the applied fields of science, horticulture, lighting, robotics and engineering. Deep dives into hydroponics, vertical farming, urban agriculture, city farming and Japanese plant factories will be highlighted. Noted speakers will come from Chiba University (Japan), National Taiwan University, University of Arizona, Cornell, Purdue, (USA), NASA, the US Department of Energy, Wageningen University (Holland) and other prestigious universities and organizations.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with international centers of influence including key manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, researchers and innovative growers.
