Village Capital Seeks Applications for Agriculture Accelerator Program; Top Two Companies to Receive $50,000

Sponsored Post – Village Capital, a leading organization that finds, trains and funds global entrepreneurs, is looking for the top innovative startups tackling major challenges in agriculture to participate in their third annual AgTech Accelerator Program.
The top two companies as selected by their peers will each receive $50,000 in investment at the end of the program, for a combined total of $100,000 of pre-committed capital offered by Village Capital and Radicle Capital, a Kentucky-based early stage venture capital firm. The accelerator offers early-stage ventures with the opportunity to work through a world-class curriculum focused on launching and scaling a business, engage with expert mentors, stakeholders and peers in the agriculture industry, and pitch to leading investors specifically interested in agtech.
The program will consist of three, 4-day workshops, taking place over the course of three months. The workshop dates and locations are as follows:
Workshop 1: 10/27-10/30 (Louisville, KY), with a launch event 10/29
Workshop 2: 12/2-12/5 (New Orleans, LA) with a public Stakeholder Forum 12/4
Workshop 3: 1/25-1/28 (Louisville, KY), with the Louisville Venture Forum 1/27
Village Capital is specifically looking for early-stage ventures focusing on the following solutions:
- Helping make the agricultural supply chain more resource-efficient
- Helping farmers produce more crops with fewer inputs in an environmentally sustainable way, with a particular emphasis on increasing the productivity of small farms
- Helping our food system aggregate and distribute food using fewer natural resources
